1st January Full Moon in Cancer at 6.12am

Rest and do nothing in the garden. It’s a perfect time to connect with family and loved ones. Any planting will tend to result in distorted growth.

Waning Fertile Moon 3rd Quarter

The Moon will not pass through any fertile signs this quarter. So unfortunately there is no days good for planting – but I bet there is plenty of maintenance to do!

15th January New Moon in Capricorn at 6.11pm with Annular Solar Eclipse – not visible here

Rest and do nothing in the garden. Any planting will tend to bolt to seed. It’s a perfect time to begin any undertaking that involves responsibility and ambition.

 19th – 20th January Waxing Fertile 1st Quarter

Perfect for all planting, especially leafy annuals.

24th – 25th and the 28th January Waxing Fertile 2nd Quarter

Perfect for all planting, especially fruity annuals.

30th January Full Moon in Leo at 5.17pm

Do nothing in the garden. It’s a perfect time to invite people around and show off your garden.

Now you know when to plant – you need to know when to prune to enhance growth, prune to reduce growth, fertilize, and harvest crops.
