For productive and beautiful gardens follow the Moon’s timetable for planting.  Time zone is AEST

1st April

Waning Fertile Moon 3rd Quarter

This is the only day that is ideal to plant root crops.

14th April

New Moon In Aries at 10.28pm A rest day in the garden. Go for a walk around other gardens to get ideas.

 16th – 17th 20th – 21st April

Waxing Fertile 1st Quarter Perfect for all planting, and leafy vegetables.

26th April

Waxing Fertile 2nd Quarter Perfect for all planting, and fruity vegetables.

28th April

Full Moon in Scorpio at 10.18pm Do nothing in the garden. Tomorrow it’s time to turn and “stir” the compost bin.

30th April

Waning Fertile Moon Plant root crops.

AEST

S.A. subtract ½ hour. QLD subtract 1hr in summer. W.A Subtract 2 hours.

N.T subtract ½ hr in winter and 1.5 hours in summer. In N. Z add 2 hours

Now you know when to plant – you will want to know when to prune to enhance growth, prune to reduce growth, fertilize, and harvest crops.
