Aries 21 March – 19 April

Friends and social, sporting or hobby groups will feature as important this month. They will inspire and fresh you.  You may be propelled to show your own unique nature at a celebration or an event.  At the same time Venus enters your work zone and pleasantly affects your public renown.  The world is trying to smile at you, and it’s time to smile back.

Taurus 20 April – 20 May

With a New Moon and Mercury, the planet of news and communication, entering your work zone I expect that you will hear of changes that are coming. These will not affect you for some time, so relax. This is an important time to talk, network, and teach others what you do best.  Later in the month in the “home” zone there will be heightened emotions and a sense of insecurity.

Gemini 21 May – 20 June

Its time to go back to school! So what if school was terrible? This time you are ready to learn new ideas and challenge yourself with new beliefs.  Therefore it has the potential to be exhilarating.  If you need information, don’t muck around with hearsay or gossip, go a knowledgeable source. All this is important for a special role you will undertake, perhaps at work, or perhaps in the community.

Cancer 21 June – 22 July

Lady love Venus enters your zone of relationships to spice up your love, and social, life. Welcome her in and know that you are “sparkling” and therefore will attract attention to yourself.  Why fight it – enjoy yourself!  This is the perfect time to ask for help or favors, as people are likely to be warm and generous towards you.  But do it now, as it will not work next month.

Leo 23 July – 22 Aug

The New Moon is in your zone of relationships leading you to want something more in your romantic and social life. Do you need to make changes? Make a new friend, or release an old destructive one. The only way to find out who they really are; is to talk to them. With the Full Moon in Leo you are the one likely to be emotional, so accept that as your own “stuff”.

Virgo 23 Aug – 22 Sep

As a Virgo it is only fitting that this month is a time of duties and responsibilities. Do you need to take care of your own health? Later in the month your social life amps up so much that it could be fun; or it could be tense.  To use the tension in a positive way go on an adventure together – be it riding a bike, trekking, jumping out of a plane, or simply long energetic walks.

Libra 23 Sep – 22 Oct

3rd Feb New Moon in Aquarius 5

For those of you that have been hiding, the time is over. For those who have been sitting on the fence; get off. Let nature propel you into the limelight where you may be called onto make a speech, or make an announcement.  You do have natural leadership qualities of a gently nature. Librans are known to “have an iron fist in a velvet glove”, which is exactly what a good leader needs.

Scorpio 23 Oct – 21 Nov

The home is where the heart is, and you’d better focus attention onto what’s happening at home. If you have been ignoring something or denying it, then start to talk and you will discover it’s not as black as you imagine.  Work colleagues will be bouncing off the walls so stay out of their hassles. Later in the month a free-spirited child-like energy brightens up your life.

Sagittarius 22 Nov – 21 Dec

This is the month to make decisions. So ask the right questions. Do you even know what you want? I bet that most of you could not even list 5 things. So spend the month focusing on yourself, and your family, and make a list. If you use something nebulous like “happiness”; ask yourself “what do I have to do to achieve it”.

Capricorn 22 Dec – 18 Jan

Venus enters your sign bringing a touch of sparkle. She is the goddess of love and I am promising that you will be noticed.  So smile. The rest of the month will focus on money, information about your money, how you use it, and how you save, or waste it. From the middle of the month you will discover information, although perhaps its just gossip, so check sources before you reveal it to others.

Aquarius 19 Jan – 18 Feb

With a New Moon and the planet of communication entering your sign its time to speak up and share what you know with others. You can find your voice and will want to use it. It also means you will be avidly curious. Curiosity is a wonderful trait as it leads to all sorts of discoveries.  Some will delight, some may shock.   Later in the month beware of hasty decisions regarding money.

Pisces 19 Feb – 20 March

In the beginning of this month you will feel dis-empowered and perhaps feel like you have no control over anything. But that quickly changes, so don’t be caught napping. It’s similar to being the stand-in for the star of the show, and because the show must go on, you will need to quickly take over when the star fails.  A friend will give help when needed.

News from the Stars

Time Zone AEST

3rd Feb New Moon in Aquarius at 1.30pm

4th Feb Venus enters Capricorn

4th Feb Mercury enters Aquarius

18th Full Moon in Leo at 7.30pm

19th Feb Sun enters Pisces

22nd Mercury enters Pisces

23rd Feb Mars enters Pisces

26th Feb Jupiter square Pluto

What’s that in the sky?

For all you night owls

Jupiter, the brightest star you see low on the western horizon in the evening, will follow the sun and be gone by the time we are tucked up in bed.

Face north and look up and spot the beautiful cluster of stars know as the Seven Sisters, or Pleiades.  They are in the shoulder of Taurus the bull, and they will gradually move east through the month. A bright star called Aldebaran, the eye of the bull, in above and to the right of Pleiades. Look further right, further than you expect, and you will see another two bright stars which are the horns of the Bull.  Yes, it does mean he is upside down to our perspective. The Moon will be between his horns on Feb 13th.  The bull is important to ancient mythology and is a worthy creature to take up so much of the night sky.

For all you early birds

If you must be up at an early hour then cheer yourself up by looking for Venus, the glorious morning star rising early in the east. She is in the middle of the dramatic milky way. Look higher for the elegant curve of the scorpion’s tail. Saturn, the creamy colored planet, is high overhead although it will be difficult to pick him out from the backdrop of stars.

Enjoy the Stars, admire their beauty and say hello to them all.
