Your Sun Signs – March 2011

Aries 21 March – 19 April

This will be an action packed month for you! Some of you will have challenges in the work place with struggles for power. Others will notice a lack of respect for your talents. Later in the month it seems everybody will oppose your ideas.  This will make it easier for you to make the changes that you know you must make.  Just don’t expect to make them in one move, as delays, or a temporary change of mind is likely.

Taurus 20 April – 20 May

Be careful that your problems are not of your own making when your turn away from the truth. Yes, truth hurts. But the consequences could be worse. Look for good counsel and advice from a specialist in the area of concern. The New Moon suggests its time to step back and see life in a wider perspective. It will help to look through the eyes of an eagle instead of those of a wren.

Gemini 2 May – 21 June

This is not the month to lend a friend some money, or even a favor. Their intentions are honorable but circumstances lead them astray.  There is a New Moon in your work zone so it is a great time to think about what small or big changes you want made, write down your goals, ask yourself how to make it happen, then notice as the universe works to help you via the friends who “don’t” own you anything.

Cancer 22 June – 22 July

This is the month of new opportunities. The world’s eye turns towards you and puts your reputation in the spotlight. If you have been good, then expect more of the same. But if you have been dodging responsibilities, then “they” will notice.  Luck will be against your loved ones and their endeavors. The New Moon in the travel and study zone suggests you either want to escape or decide its time to expand you mind.

Leo 23 July – 22 Aug

Your sense of freedom, and understanding the big picture is being squashed. Perhaps travel plans will become unraveled, new learnings fail you, or your sense of responsibility ties you down. You may feel like you are wading through mud. But it’s only temporary, as three planets are entering your zone of exploration and learning, and then nothing will hold you back.  Know that work or self-discipline is all that is required, and don’t doubt your worth.

Virgo 23 Aug – 22 Sep

The New Moon in the zone of relationships offers a renewed connection with other people and the possibility of a fresh start.  Any tensions can now be resolved or deeper connections made. Share your deepest thoughts and your most important values with a beloved. This can lead to surprising revelations and deep feelings will surface later in the month. Your children or the young people in your life may be needing reassurance and support.

Libra 23 Sep – 23 Oct

Your “buttons” are being pressed by somebody and your sense of security has been affected. Are they taking liberties or challenging you? Should you protect yourself? Or maybe it’s time you heard what they had to say and allowed them to inspire you to greater things. They will rush you; but take it all in slowly. This is also a perfect month to implement good health practices; like giving up smoking, starting to exercise, or starting a diet.

Scorpio 24 Oct – 21 Nov

Your financial situation will heading in a new direction and new information leads to new “responsibilities”. Do you really want the extra weight? If you take on too much, your health could suffer. Or an existing health issue will need attention. This is nicely balanced by the New Moon in your zone of fun and love. So enjoy yourself, have an adventure, do something different, take a risk, or give yourself up to love.

Sagittarius 22 Nov – 21 Dec

Taking a risk will cost you money. So forget gambling! A search for new experiences will be heightened at the same time as your need for security and support. It’s all about finding the right balance! Some of you will trust in your own abilities and do it well; some will be fearful. But if you stay in your comfort zone – ask yourself – is it really comfortable? Expect strong emotions in the work place later in the month.

Capricorn 22 Dec – 19 Jan

The challenges from those at home or family members will be ongoing.  Some self reflection will show you how every single one of your actions has a reaction. Even non-action causes outcomes. The New Moon in the zone of communication and decisions will help you see other possible outcomes. Then you will be able to allow, adapt, and respond to the changes in a manner beneficial to you.

Aquarius 20 Jan – 18 Feb

The month begins with you not being told everything. So be aware of making assumptions, as there is more going on than you know. Then the communication gates are wide open, and you find out more than you wanted to know! People want to reach out to you. The connection buzz is so strong that you will be talking and networking with everybody. Write down notes or you will forget something important.

Pisces 19 Feb – 20 March

Money – where is it, how will you get more, where has it gone, how are you spending it, where will you invest it, who is really spending it? These are the types of questions on your mind this month. The New Moon in your sign means it time to think about yourself and nobody else. What do “you” need? Yes, the others will probably over-react later in the month, but lady luck is heading your way to help out.

Palmistry Hints – Lunar Mount – creativity or pragmatic March 1, 2011

Palmistry Hints –

She put out her hand and said that she thought she had odd shaped hands. They were not odd; in fact they were quite beautiful.

There was a definite plump bulge on the palm under the little finger and opposite the thumb. This is the area known as the Lunar Mount. And a lot of people have a bulge in this location. Obviously she had never noticed any others. A well develop and firm bulge in this area represents imagination, sympathy and creativity. And guess what – she was an artist.

An over developed bulge indicates impracticality and a tendency to get lost in dreams. So don’t go into business with a person with a large and flabby Lunar Mount! They have no sense of maintaining effort or sticking to hard work. A narrow thin mount simply shows a pragmatic nature.  They still have imagination, but they do not know how to use it for positive outcomes and tend to worry.

Most of us have quite normal Lunar Mounts and blend imagination and creativity with practicality and patience.

Start noticing the hands of the people around you. You will soon see these traits exhibited.

When the planet Saturn is at equinox, its ring...

Image via Wikipedia

First I will tell you the astronomy – stay tuned for the astrology!

For all you night owls

The only planet in the evening skies is Saturn, but at a civilized hour he is too low and barely visible. So if you find yourself out late at night, or in the very early morning, see if you can find him. The best night is when his is close to the Moon on the 20th March. Since Saturn represents the ways and authority of the old King the ancients would say that the King is in complete command and thus existing rules would dominant and win over any new changes or challenges.  So if you want to make changes that go against prevailing rules; perhaps do as the ancients would do, and wait till the sky shows easy adjustment for those changes.

If you like looking at the twinkling stars then Castor and Pollux, the bright twin stars of Gemini are easily visible if you look to the North. Further to the east is Regulus in the heart of Leo the lion. And in the South is the Southern Cross lying on its side.

For all you early birds

Venus is the Morning Star that rises in the east and heralds the Sun’s arrival a few hours later.

Saturn is setting lower and lower in the western sky. And the Scorpion is very visible directly overhead. His long curved body swings through the Milky Way. We are so very lucky in the Southern Hemisphere as we have far more stars to admire than our Northern Hemisphere neighbors.
