Aries 20 March – 19 April

Negotiations, arrangements, and time spent making decisions can easily become bogged down in a morass of details and logistics. But that will pass, and you will shortly be talking and connecting with a wide variety of people. Continue to ask questions, and make decisions. It’s the time to discuss plans.

Taurus 20 April – 20 May

A full-stop, then a breakthrough will occur with financial concerns. You can solve your problems, or those who are having hassles will find the time has come to be realistic. You can gain more personal self-worth by looking in the mirror and loving what you see.

Gemini 21 May – 20 June

It’s time to focus on the mundane realities of life. Later a change arrives with the Gemini Solar eclipse. It will feel like the lights are out and you cannot see clearly. Then inspiration comes and it’s a great time for a new love, or a new outlook.

Cancer 21 June – 21 July

You love life and the young people in your life create strong emotions. Are you taking risks? Later it’s a time to retreat. Still have your ego out there doing what must be done. But let your spirit rest and ponder on the meanings of life, love, family and work.

Leo 22 July – 22 Aug

An interesting dynamic exists between work, friends and home, and you are pulled all ways. Confusion will lead to a surge of creative energy. If you want to change your life; then change by making new friends. Join a group with similar goals to yours.

Virgo 23 Aug – 22 Sep

This is a perfect month to be on the move either travelling or studying. Good opportunities at work may appear seem to have stalled. But not for long, as new possibilities soon become obvious. What role do you want?  Dream it, plan it, and do something to reach for it.

 Libra 23 Sep – 22 Oct

This is the time for focusing on self-worth and financial worth. And it’s easy to be distracted while travelling or studying. Then a breakthrough will occur in anything to do with legal, educational or foreign matters. Go on a holiday. The time is right and besides; you deserve it!

Scorpio 23 Oct – 21 Nov

This is the perfect time to think about how you respect yourself and what behaviors you accept from other people. It is only by changing how you feel about yourself that allows other people to change themselves. Allow a long journey of deepening intimacy and letting someone share your innermost thoughts and feelings. It’s time to trust again.

Sagittarius 22 Nov – 20 Dec

Anybody with health concerns will find out something new that will help. And your awareness of others will reach a peak. At first there are difficulties but new contacts and co-operation with partners in love, business or work will be achievable. Love them; love yourself.

Capricorn 21 Dec – 19 Jan

Enjoy the celebrations or the fun social times around you. Although be mindful if you indulge in risky behaviors. Soon begins a time of focusing on duty, responsibility, working dues and health issues. This is the time you can change habits. So what do you want to change with diet, health, happiness, or exercise?

Aquarius 20 Jan – 17 Feb

Workplace hassles will work out. Be vibrant and have a new motto; “say yes to everything”. But new romances may not work out as expected for a while, so go slowly. Jupiter enters your “fun” zone and brings a surge of creativity. Let your inner artist out and play!

Pisces 18 Feb – 19 March

Begin by asking questions and making decisions. Then it’s time to focus on your home and family. Give it all your attention and the dust will eventually settle.

How are you making home life secure for you? Now is the right time to lay bigger foundations to life.

A lot of people do not realise that the Sun moves into the 12 signs of the zodiac on slightly different dates each year. If you are born close to the border of two signs then you are on the cusp and you are a blend of the two sun signs. The dates here are the 2012 Sun Ingress dates for Australia. Now is the time!

Throughout the ages, practitioners of moon-phase farming, such as the Mayans, found out through trial and error the best times to sow and plant, to prune, to weed and to harvest for storage. They also treated stock for diseases, and mated, castrated and killed farm animals for meat at certain times of the month. I am constantly reading and researching more and more of the old techniques.

Using the time-honored practice of Moon gardening makes the best use of our time, and is for the best use of a wonderful resource that must last for thousands more generations after us. This resource is the land we live on!

The Almanac now includes the perfect times to treat, catch, and care for all species, furred, feathers and finned.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift; the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have generated a society that honors the Servant and forgotten the Gift”.                 Albert Einstein

What’s that in the sky?

For all you night owls

Venus is quickly following the Sun down below the horizon and soon she will be so close to the sun she is invisible to our eyes.

Let the Moon be your guide tonight on the 1st May when she will be just above Mars. The white star is Regulus and the reddish one is Mars.

Get ready to aim your binoculars or telescope towards the Moon on the 4th May as she will be next to Spica and just above Saturn. It’s always easier to see the Moons craters when she is NOT Full.

As night falls the clearly visible and magnificent Scorpion will rise in the eastern sky and move overheard all night. And he will finally start his dive into the western horizon as the Sun rises in the morning.

For all you early birds

You may be lucky early this month to see Mercury. He will make a fleeting visit in the eastern sky just before the sun rises and he disappears from view. He travels close to the Sun and as a result his visits are quick. That’s why the ancients knew him as the “winged messenger”.
