In Capricorn at 4.51am

Official gardeners rest day. Planting, sowing and even pruning will result in distorted higgy-piggly growth. Best day to put your feet up. Or at least cultivate a restful attitude. J

 

Late afternoon of the 7th, all day of the 8th and 9th July. Waning Fertile Moon 3rd Quarter This is the perfect time to plant root crops.

 

 

19th July New Moon

In Cancer at 2.24pm

Another official rest day! Planting or sowing will result in long and weak growth.

 

24th 25th July Waxing Fertile 1st Quarter Perfect for all sowing and planting. And for vegetables whose leaves we eat.  

 

26th, 27th, 28th and 31st July. Waxing Fertile 2nd Quarter Perfect for all sowing and planting. And for vegetables that bear fruits or seeds for eating.

W.A subtract 2 hours. N.T subtract ½ hour. In N. Z add 2 hours

 

Now you know when to plant – you will want to know when to

 

  • prune to enhance growth,
  • prune to reduce growth,
  • fertilize,
  • weed,
  • harvest crops
  • and make gardening easier!
